Nearly three years ago I was given a Fujifilm X-pro II for my 23rd birthday and since then I have been on adventures wilder than a younger me could have ever dreamed of. The X-pro II has been by my side with every step of my journeys, allowing me to document my experiences and become ever closer to my authentic self. The longer I’ve spent in my relationship with the camera the more my understanding of what photography is changes. The more I explore what my camera is capable of, the more I explore the world, the more I learn that what I’m really exploring is myself.

Photography speaks life into that which words cannot comprehend. To be a photographer is to try to catch the uncatchable. To know the unkownable, and then to share that with others. To intimately know the human experience and yet know nothing at all. Thats what drives me to keep making photographs, the pursuit of something unattainable. Photography, unlike so many societal creations, is not a game of wins and losses, it is an art of storytelling.
